Kate is a solicitor in OC's Financial Institutions Group who specialises in payment services as well as general financial services regulatory, consumer credit and contractual matters.
Kate has significant experience in payments and has advised a number of traditional and "new generation" payment service providers, including undertaking a secondment to PayPal. Recent work has involved advising various wholesale and retail banks and other payment service providers on the implications of the Payment Services Directive and assisting with their PSD Projects to ensure compliance; assisting Citi with a number of money remittance projects building from its Citi QuikRemit platform; and advising on the impact of the redrafted E-Money Directive, particularly to existing and prospective online and mobile payment service providers.
Kate also advises on a wide range of general compliance matters and has experience of co-ordinating and running international projects and surveys.
Kate trained at Osborne Clarke and joined the Financial Institutions Group upon her qualification in March 2006. She passed the Regulation and Compliance module of the Securities & Investments Institute's Diploma in December 2006.
