AOL calls for email marketing law enforcement
Internet service provider AOL recently bemoaned the lack of any spammer prosecutions in the UK. Others have demanded the scrapping of the present 'B2B exemption' from the 'opt-in' rule for unsolicited marketing emails. Do they have a point?

In the June edition of Marketing Law, we reported on the issue of telephone glass advertising and the proposed changes to regulation in this area.
As an update, the new Regulations were originally expected to come into force on 1 October 2006, but it now appears, following the Department for Communities & Local Government's 24 July 2006 publication of a consultation on its draft Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) Regulations 2006, that the commencement date has been pushed back to April 2007.
